About Sowing Circle

Sowing Circle was established in 1997 as a 501(c)3 non-profit ministry for the purpose of sowing the Gospel of Jesus Christ; offering hope, encouragement and strength to as many people as possible. To present the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible, God’s inerrant Word, as the only true source and means of forgiveness of sin, freedom from guilt, and eternal life.

This purpose is primarily accomplished by developing and maintaining the Blue Letter Bible online resources (BlueLetterBible.org) as well as by co-laboring with other Christian ministries, missions boards, and Christian organizations that fulfill Sowing Circle’s purpose.

The Blue Letter Bible is an on-line Bible study resource linked to a wealth of reference and study materials offered by pastors and teachers who hold to the conservative, historical Christian faith. Resources include advanced Bible search and study resources including commentaries, dictionaries, and multiple Bible versions; complete Hebrew and Greek lexicon; audio downloads; daily devotionals; theological papers; Spanish language text and audio resources; advanced mobile phone Bible study applications; an online Bible institute with college level courses; and much more—all at no cost to the user.

In 2013, Blue Letter Bible reached over 8.5 million unique visitors and delivered close to 300 million pages of content.
